Former England international Danny Mills believes there is little reason for Harry Kane to consider leaving Bayern Munich, arguing that the striker has found the perfect environment to continue performing at the highest level.
Mills, who earned 19 England caps during a playing career that included spells with Leeds United, Middlesbrough, Manchester City and Derby County, believes Kane should seriously consider extending his stay in Munich.
Speaking about Kane’s future, Mills indicated that Kane staying
put just makes sense.
“Why shouldn’t Harry Kane sign a new contract at Bayern Munich? If we’re honest, the Bundesliga is probably slightly easier than the Premier League in terms of physicality. Bayern are the standout team. They have the ball more than anyone else, create the most chances, and score the most goals. They’ve done that for as long as you can remember. If you look at who has won the Bundesliga over the last 20 years, it’s been Bayern Munich. You expect Bayern Munich, the absolute powerhouse, to win the Bundesliga, and you expect them to be in at least the quarter-finals, if not the semi-finals, of the Champions League every single season,” Mills told talkSPORT Bet slots site. “Harry Kane is now 32. Coming back to the Premier League is difficult, and we have seen in the past that he has struggled with injuries. Why would he leave a place where he is playing well, scoring goals week in, week out, enjoying his football, and being paid handsomely? Why would he change?”
Mills’ argument is straightforward — Kane has found a club where he is consistently scoring, competing for major trophies, and playing in an environment built around success.
At 33-years-old, stability could be just as valuable as a return to England.
