Just in the last hour or so we have seen three breakthroughs as Everton’s transfer staff are upping the ante. Two of them are outgoing moves, and we expect to see a couple of new faces at least on transfer deadline tomorrow.
Iliman Ndiaye to Manchester City –
The Senegal international has been linked over the summer with each of the Sky Six but our neighbours, and after a roulette involving Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City, it looks like it’s the latter that have won the prize. The 26-year-old
will be moving to the Etihad for a princely sum of £60 million plus a further £5m in add-ons.
Tim Iroegbunam to Hull City –
The midfielder was expected to leave this summer especially with the addition of Hayden Hackney and the confirmation that Harrison Armstrong would not be sold. He had a number of suitors but it appears the Blues will be moving him to newly-promoted Hull City who have had an excellent start to the season with two consecutive wins. The fee is up to £22 million, though the fixed amount is on the lower end at about £12.2m, with the remainder in add-ons and bonuses.
Folarin Balogun from AS Monaco –
The two clubs have an agreement in place now to bring in the 25-year-old Arsenal youth academy product and USMNT striker to the Blues. The fee will be close to £38.5 million, with another £4.25m in add-ons. There is a sell-on clause in place too in the agreement. He will be replacing Beto who is being sold to Fiorentina in Italy.
