On its way to running away with the Big 12 regular season title, Arizona has had eight different players lead the team in scoring. Seven Wildcats have reached the 20-point mark in a game, five getting there multiple times, and and seven UA players are averaging at least nine points a game.
It’s that kind of balance that has Arizona sitting at 28-2 entering Saturday’s regular season finale at Colorado and in line for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. It truly has been a team effort.
Yet someone has
to be considered the most important player, or at least the most valuable one. We asked our readers who they thought Arizona’s MVP was, and the choice was pretty clear.
Jaden Bradley’s teammates would agree, as they (as well as the McKale Center crowd) chanted “MVP! MVP!” while Bradley was doing an interview on ESPN after Monday’s Big 12-clinching win over Iowa State.
The senior is averaging 13.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists, shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 38.9 percent from 3-point range. Bradley’s assist-to-turnover ratio 2.67 to 1, and he also leads Arizona in steals.
Bradley has been a big reason why Arizona won its first Big 12 title and why the Wildcats are one of the favorites to reach the Final Four at -125, per FanDuel Sportsbook. The UA has the third-best odds to win the national title, at +480.
