Good morning, BBN!
If yesterday’s announcement of John Wall retiring didn’t hit you right in the heart, I don’t know what to tell you.
While John Calipari certainly brought life back to BBN, it was John Wall who made everyone really believe again, especially after his first game ended with a game-winner.
He’s arguably the most hyped up recruit College Basketball has ever seen, with his high school mixtape still being played by fans today.
Wall changed culture with his play on the court, a dance dedicated
to him, and an entire song about doing that very dance.
While they didn’t win the title that year, that Kentucky team kick-started one of the greatest runs college basketball has ever seen from 2009-2015. Everything can be pointed back to John Wall.
A forever Cats legend. Do you think his number deserves to be hanging in Rupp? Let us know in the comments!
