Yesterday we discussed Victor Wembanyama’s new animated project “Alien Dunk.” Apparently, Wemby already has some experience in the cartoon world.
Wembanyama appeared as himself…somewhat. The French phenom makes a cameo in the latest season of “Futurama.“
The science-fiction animated series created by Matt Groening (creator of “The Simpsons”) was revived two years ago by Hulu, leading to the creation of new episodes.
In the season premiere “Destroy Tall Monsters,”
an alien named Victor Wembanyama is playing basketball when Bender, the hard-living robot, interrupts. It’s a quick moment, but fills the cameo and joke buckets regarding the Spurs big man.
For one, he is designed in true alien form. And another, his name is butchered. Finally, Victor shows intelligence and compassion.
A quick bite, but consistent with Victors mission of doing anything and everything he can outside of basketball.
