The TV ratings and viewership data are in for the Dec.5 episode of WWE SmackDown on the USA Network.
Per Wrestlenomics, SmackDown was watched by 1,063,000 total viewers and did a .24 rating in the 18-49 year old demographic. The Survivor Series fallout episode, which featured the finals of The Last Time is Now Tournament to determine John Cena’s final opponent, fell in both metrics compared to the previous episode: 7% in overall audience, and 14% in the demo. Both are the lowest SmackDown’s done in a month,
since Halloween night.
Overall ratings reports remain spotty, so we don’t know where SmackDown stood in comparison to other original programming on the might, or what numbers the competition pulled. We can tell you it was a big night for college football, as it was conference championship weekend, with bowl and playoff berths on the line in addition to bragging rights. That included the American Athletic Conference title game on ABC, which sent winner Tulane into the Playoff.
No Cena advertised, but his farewell and the Saturday Night’s Main Event card figure to loom over Friday’s show. We’ll see how it does, then update our running tracker of SmackDown results from the past year with its numbers:
