The end of an era could soon be upon us.
The University of Michigan Board of Regents is set to meet today — Thursday, July 16 — in Traverse City to discuss a number of topics. Even though it isn’t listed on the official agenda, the board is expected to discuss athletics director Warde Manuel, whose future with the university is “in doubt,” according to a report from Yahoo Sports’ Ross Dellenger
this past Sunday. The reason for that, reportedly, are the findings in the still-unreleased Jenner & Block
investigation into the university’s athletics department over the handling of the Sherrone Moore situation. The Chicago-based law firm was hired by the university to investigate the culture of the athletics department very shortly after Moore’s firing and subsequent arrest. The university has racked up a near-$12 million tab, so it is of the utmost importance to the publid that the findings of the investigation are released for all to see.
