Despite appearances by both Money in the Bank briefcase winners and the new Women’s World champ, WWE’s Post-Show for the Money in the Bank had been fairly uneventful — until its final guest.
Oba Femi, fresh off surviving Vision interference, multiple brass knuckle shots and a Tsunami to defeat Bronson Reed a couple hours earlier, joined Jackie Redmond, Big E, and Peter Rosenberg at the desk. The last question for The Ruler was if he has his eyes on anyone. The King of the Ring heard the crowds chants
of “OTC” and called out World Heavyweight champion Roman Reigns:
“Tribal Chief. No more running. It’s about that time.”
WWE’s done an admirable job of keeping this showdown between one of its biggest stars of this century and a performer the company hopes will carry it for the next decade or two. Most figured a one-on-one clash between Femi and Reigns would wait until WrestleMania next April… but it doesn’t seem that way. Where does this fit around a Champion vs. Champion match at Crown Jewel (wherever it happens) and a presumed Bloodline vs. 946 WarGames at Survivor Series?
Answer that, or just generally react to this development below, Cagesiders.
