Syracuse went down early in this game, trailing 2-0 after one. That 2-0 deficit held until the fourth, where a three run inning powered by a Ronny Marucio solo home run, an Eric Wagaman RBI ground out, and a run scoring throwing error gave them a lead. The RailRiders would tie it in the bottom of the frame and take a 4-3 lead in the sixth, but a two run single by Wagaman gave the Mets a 5-4 lead in the eighth inning that would stick.

A good old fashioned pitcher’s duel!
Well, kind of.
The Rumble Ponies outlast the Sea Dogs by a score of 2-1, with both teams notching four hits on the day. The Rumble Ponies went the way of the bullpen game, with five different pitchers pitching well in the win. Channing Austin surrendered the sole run, on a third inning sacrifice fly, and everyone else pitched in (no pun intended) to blank the Sea Dogs.
Binghamton scored both of their runs in the sixth, when Corey Collins drove in two with a single.

Brooklyn got off to a strong start in this one, plating two in the first inning, both on a Daiverson Gutierrez double. The game, however, slowly but surely fell apart for the Cyclones.
Jersey Shore inched back into the game, scoring one in the bottom of the first to cut the lead in half, one in the third to tie it, and one in the seventh to take a 3-2 lead. Brooklyn tied it in the top of the ninth on a throwing error, but a two run home run walked the game off for Jersey Shore.

As one could imagine, a 12-9 loss featured many back and forth swings.
Fort Myers and St. Lucie traded runs in the second inning, and then the Mets took a 3-2 lead after three. Fort Myers jumped out to a 5-3 lead with a three run fifth, but St. Lucie turned around with a four run fifth of their own to make it 7-5 after five.
That was the end of the good times for the Mets, as Fort Myers kept the pressure up, scoring two in the sixth to tie it and five in the seventh to make it 12-7. St. Lucie tacked on a run in both the seventh and the eighth, but the five run seventh inning for the Mighty Mussels was too much to overcome.
