Like we did for Week 1, we’re going to track where the Green Bay Packers sent their scouts in Week 3 of the college football season. Generally, this information comes from media reports, as those in the press box for college football games can see the seating arrangements for all of the attendees in the box, which includes NFL scouts and general managers.
So do we know where all of the Packers’ scouts were at all times this weekend? No, but we can still gather some useful information from these reports.
There were no media reports on where Green Bay scouts were in Week 2, which is why there wasn’t an update last week. Follow along as we take you through the games that Packers scouts saw live. The rankings we’ll be using are from the consensus draft board’s top-250 prospects of 2026.
Kansas State @ Arizona
- Kansas State
- #235 QB Avery Johnson
- #242 LB Austin Romaine
- Arizona
- None
There weren’t many draftable prospects in this game, but it was just one of two Power Four versus Power Four matchups on Friday, with the other being Colorado-Houston. The star of this game was Arizona running back Ismail Mahdi, who is currently unranked on the consensus draft board. Mahdi ran for 189 yards on 22 carries after recording just 74 rushing yards in his first two games of the season. He transferred up from Texas State this year, where he posted 2,322 yards over two seasons with the Bobcats. Stock up?
Youngstown State @ Michigan State
- Youngstown State
- None
- Michigan State
- #162 TE Jack Velling
- #191 QB Aidan Chiles
This is an interesting one, considering Michigan State doesn’t have many draftable prospects and Youngstown State is an FCS team. The headliner here is Spartans quarterback Aidan Chiles, a former high school All-American who transferred from Oregon State when head coach Jonathan Smith took the Michigan State job in 2024. He’s only a junior. Over the last three years, only three underclassmen quarterbacks have declared for the draft and not been first-round picks. Don’t hold your breath that Chiles declares in 2026.
With all that being said, Youngstown State does have two borderline draftable players, per the consensus draft board. The first is receiver Max Tomzcak, nephew of former NFL quarterback Mike Tomzcak. Tomzcak was a first-team Missouri Valley player in 2024, a conference that also includes FCS powerhouse programs like North Dakota State and South Dakota State. The second potential draftable prospect is redshirt junior left tackle Desmeal Leigh, who has NFL size at a listed 6’7” and 325 pounds.
Florida @ LSU
- Florida
- #22 DL Caleb Banks
- #52 OL Austin Barber
- #64 OL Jake Slaughter
- #70 ED Tyreak Sapp
- #190 WR Eugene Wilson III
- LSU
- #1 QB Garrett Nussmeier
- #40 CB Mansoor Delane
- #62 LB Harold Perkins
- #76 LB Whit Weeks
- #94 WR Nic Anderson
- #135 WR Aaron Anderson
- #168 ED Patrick Payton
- #202 WR Barion Brown
- #219 OL Josh Thompson
- #241 CB Ashton Stamps
This is actually the Packers’ second exposure to LSU this year, as general manager Brian Gutekunst was present for their opening game of the season against the Clemson Tigers. There are too many players in this game to touch on all of them as prospects, but a couple that stand out are Florida center Jake Slaughter, who is considered to be a mid-second round pick, and Virginia Tech transfer cornerback Mansoor Delane, who very well could be off the board by the time Green Bay is on the clock with their first pick of the 2026 draft.
Clemson @ Georgia Tech
- Clemson
- #3 DL Peter Woods
- #6 QB Cade Klubnik
- #11 ED T.J. Parker
- #21 CB Avien Terrell
- #31 WR Antonio Williams
- #91 DL DeMonte Capehart
- #114 OL Tristan Leigh
- #128 OL Blake Miller
- Georgia Tech
- #217 WR Eric Rivers
As previously mentioned, this is also the Packers’ second exposure to this year’s Clemson team. Currently, there are only four players from this game who are expected to be drafted in the second through seventh rounds of the 2026 draft, per the consensus draft board. One interesting player to keep in mind, though, is Georgia Tech quarterback Haynes King, a former high school All-American who is playing his sixth season of college football this year and helped pull the upset off against Clemson. He was 20 of 28 passing for 211 yards (7.5 yards per attempt) with 25 carries for 103 yards and a touchdown in this game.
Maybe post-Malik Willis, the Packers want to continue their streak of having legs off the bench at the quarterback position. If Sean Clifford was a draftable prospect for them, don’t rule out the Texas A&M transfer.
