Good morning, baseball fans!
The world’s biggest Toronto Blue Jays fan has arrived to discuss tonight’s World Series Game 1 between the Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Dodgers from the Rogers Centre in Toronto.
Taking the mound for the Dodgers will be left-hander and former/not-forever Giant Blake Snell, who finished the regular season with a 2.35 ERA, 2.70 FIP, with 72 strikeouts to 26 walks in 61.1 innings pitched. His last start this postseason was in the Dodgers’ 2-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on October 13th, in which he allowed just one hit with 10 strikeouts in eight innings. No pressure on the other guy.
Said other guy will be Blue Jays right-handed rookie Trey Yesavage, who finished the regular season with a 3.21 ERA, 2.35 FIP, with 16 strikeouts to seven walks in 14 innings pitched. His last postseason start was in the Blue Jays’ 6-2 win over the Seattle Mariners on Sunday, in which he allowed two runs on six hits with seven strikeouts and three walks in five and two thirds innings.
Tonight’s game starts at 5:00 p.m. PT and airs on Fox, with a national radio broadcast on ESPN Radio.
Let’s go Blue Jays!
