Joe Lauzon marked his return to combat sports earlier tonight (Sat., Aug. 29, 2026) at BKFC 92 LIVE on DAZN from inside Fenway Park in Boston, Mass., as the long-time UFC veteran delivered a second-round TKO over Stash Kuykendall.
Lauzon, 42, was coming into his hometown return off a seven-year hiatus from fighting. The last time fans saw “J-Lau” he stopped Jonathan Pearce via TKO at UFC on ESPN 6 back in Oct. 2019. It seemed like Lauzon was going to mount an Octagon comeback sometime after that,
but it never came to fruition.
Flash forward seven years later and Lauzon is making his bareknuckle boxing debut inside Fenway Park in front of the home crowd. It was a gutsy move for the UFC vet considering the substantial layoff, but Lauzon appeared to be up to the challenge. That proved true Saturday night as BKFC 92’s main card unfolded.
Lauzon needed about five minutes to put a beating on Kuykendall. “J-Lau” landed a total of five knockdowns with the last one leaving Kuykendall in a bloody daze. The referee finally stepped in and called a stop to the violence, leaving Lauzon with a huge return win and grand entrance into Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
