Rafa Yuste has told Barcelona fans to expect more signings this summer following the acquisition of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle.
The England international has become Barcelona’s first signing of the summer but the club are also believed to be keen to bring in a center-forward and a defender before the start of the new season.
Yuste has praised Gordon and says Deco and Bojan are working hard on more transfers.
“We’ve signed Gordon, who’s very versatile,” he said, per Marca.
“Flick likes players who
press like Raphinha. Anthony is incredibly humble. It won’t be today, but between now and the end of the season you’ll surely hear about some new additions that Deco and Bojan are working on.”
Yuste also gave his verdict on the 2025-26 season and his pride at seeing so many homegrown players in Hansi Flick’s first team.
“We’ve had a spectacular season, playing great football, and we’ve won every home game. La Masia is the heart of this institution, which is why we’ve had eight players called up to the Spanish national team,” he added.
“Speaking in Catalan, we have very young players who need to grow and mature. Winning a league title and a cup isn’t easy, so I want to thank Hansi Flick, his staff, the rehabilitation specialists…
“I also want to thank Deco and Bojan because they’ve done something very difficult: establishing the team’s backbone. This team is solid and will bring us a lot of joy.”
Barca won the Spanish Super Cup again last season and also retained their La Liga title, finishing eight points clear of Real Madrid.
