What to watch for

We’re here. The first game of the 2026 WNBA Playoffs is tomorrow. Washington went 2-1 against the Dream head to head in the regular season this year. But their loss to Atlanta was on the road.

That said, the Mystics lost to the Dream on June 6, 2026. Tomorrow is Sept. 27.

The Mystics have been one of the hottest teams in the league from a wins and losses standpoint since the middle of the regular season, and I have a feeling that Washington will play more than just two or three games. After all, Washington is playing with house money. They have the third best defense in the league and also happen to be the youngest. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
