The United States Women’s National Team will take on Italy in two friendlies to close out 2025, and today we learned the players who will head to camp next week. U.S. Soccer announced the 26-player USWNT
roster for the November/December international window.
The roster is led by the return of defender Naomi Girma to the team. Girma has battled injuries for much of the calendar year and last was on the team in early June. Jaelin Howell also makes her return to the USWNT, having last appeared in April 2022.The roster also has two first time call-ups: Bay FC goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz and Chicago Stars forward Jameese Joseph. Washington Spirit defender Kate Wiesner is the other uncapped player in camp, last appearing on a training roster for the USWNT in June 2024.

“It’s been an exciting and important year for our group, and we’ve accomplished a lot of goals, expanded the player pool and made strides in our game model, so this camp will be an extension of that, but it will also set the groundwork for 2026, which will be our World Cup qualifying year,” said head coach Emma Hayes in a statement. “Games against top European teams are so valuable as they give us an honest assessment of where we are in our growth as a team, so I know our players with embrace that challenge.”
The USWNT take on Italy on November 28th at Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando. They close out the window – and the calendar year – on December 1st at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. It’s the first time in 15 years that the two teams will face each other on the field.
