Liverpool scouts favor Olise as Salah replacement (TEAMtalk)
Liverpool FC is starting to think about life after Mo Salah and one of the potential successors it has in mind is Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise:
Liverpool’s hopes of pulling off the perfect Mohamed Salah succession plan have been dealt a major blow, with TEAMtalk informed that Bayern Munich are preparing to shut down any prospect of Michael Olise returning to the Premier League this summer.
We can reveal that Liverpool’s recruitment team are unanimous in their belief that Olise represents the closest
thing to an ideal Salah heir. The Frenchman’s blend of creativity, end-product and tactical intelligence has made him the standout name on their long list of potential replacements. But wanting him and landing him are two very different things.
Sources close to the player have confirmed that Olise is in no hurry whatsoever to come back to the Premier League. His previous spell with Crystal Palace is viewed positively, but not as something he feels compelled to revisit.
We understand that Bayern are preparing to open talks over a new contract for Olise, despite the fact he is already tied down until 2029. The German giants are determined to protect their asset and send a clear message to would‑be suitors that he is not for sale.
The likes of Yan Diomande, Nico Williams, Desire Doue and Bradley Barcola are all in their thinking as potential alternatives, but Olise is the name they would love to build their next attacking era around. But sources have made it clear to us that a deal is simply not realistic at this stage.
Olise’s contract ends in 2029, so it could be extremely difficult for Liverpool to even convince Bayern Munich to pick up the phone. In addition, the Bavarians are reportedly trying to take a pre-emptive strike at getting Olise to ink a contract extension.
Smit off Bayern’s radar (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
Bayern Munich has reportedly been linked to AZ Alkmaar midfielder Kees Smith for months.
There is one problem, though — Sport Bild’s Christian Falk says that the Bavarians will pass on Smit:
❌ It is NOT TRUE: Bayern are keeping a very close eye on Kees Smit ahead of the summer. They have players in this position already. Don’t forget Aleksandar Pavlović, Tom Bischof, Joshua Kimmich, and Konrad Laimer. So, no, it’s not hot for Bayern Munich. Smit is a player Arsenal is also interested in, so for Goretzka, this could be a potential rival for his position next summer. From what I understand, Arsenal and the likes of Liverpool and Real Madrid are closer to signing this player than Bayern Munich.

Inter, Juve eyeing BuLi defender (ESPN)
Inter Milan and Juventus are interested in Wolfsburg defender Konstantinos Koulierakis:
Wolfsburg defender Konstantinos Koulierakis is a target for both Inter Milan and Juventus in the summer, according to Calciomercato. The 22-year-old joined the Bundesliga club from Greek side PAOK and has become a mainstay of the side, also becoming a key part of Greece’s national team. The left-footed center back can play in a back three or four and is particularly adept in aerial duels. Contracted until 2029, Koulierakis — who has also been watched by Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur — would require an outlay of around €35 million to €45 million.
United to make big move for Mac Allister? (ESPN)
Manchester United might be seeking to swipe Alexis Mac Allister from Liverpool:
Manchester United are considering a shock move for Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, as reported by The Mirror. The Red Devils are drawing up a list of potential midfield options for the summer transfer window, and they are keeping close tabs on the 27-year-old’s future with speculation increasing that he could leave the Reds in the summer, although signing him would be a big task. Sources have told ESPN that Man United have also expressed an interest in Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton, Brighton & Hove Albion’s Carlos Baleba and Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson.
Gunners to make move for Williams? (ESPN)
Arsenal could be looking at former Bayern Munich transfer target Nico Williams:
Arsenal have been told that Athletic Club winger Nico Williams is considering a transfer away from the club this summer, as reported by TEAMtalk. The 23-year-old’s contract includes a release clause in the region of €100 million, with Barcelona and the Gunners being the two clubs that appeal most to him. Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have also been informed that he could be available by “intermediaries.”
