The Big Ten released its preseason hockey poll and All-Big Ten projections on Thursday. Penn State finished No. 2 in this year’s preseason poll behind defending champion Michigan State:
Three Nittany Lions were also selected to the all-Big Ten preseason team. Forward Aiden Fink and defenseman Mac Gadowsky are projected first team All-Big Ten, and top 2026 NHL Draft prospect Gavin McKenna is on the second team. Penn State’s three selections led the conference. Michigan State, Michigan, and Notre Dame each had two selections, and Wisconsin and Ohio State had one each.
The Big Ten should be competitive as always. There will not be any easy nights in conference play, and the regular season title may come down to the four meetings between Penn State and Michigan State.
Only one more week until the season opener against Arizona State!
