According to PW Insider, the one and only AJ Styles is expected to be in attendance and working backstage for the AAA Ola de Calor and NXT Heatwave shows tomorrow in Edinburgh, Texas. He will not be working in the sense of any kind of on screen role, however.
Indeed, that site reports he has been filling in of late for Terry Taylor while he recovers from knee surgery. That left an opening for a producer and Styles has been filling it of late. He will do so again this weekend for the doubleheader.
Again, though, despite the fact that he will be in the building in a working capacity, Insider is sure to say the current expectation is Styles will not appear on television for either AAA or NXT. Granted, they’ll be up against AEW’s All In pay-per-view showcase, which could lead to some temptation to put him out there on the WWE side.
Either way, he’ll be helping out in Texas this weekend.
