You might have seen the news that came out this week that for the first time in program history the Purdue men’s basketball team is the pre-season #1 team. So, with that in mind I wanted to see if you care about this at all. I know it’s a basic question, just yes or no, but I’m of two minds on the subject. First, it makes a difference for recruiting, for perception, for national attention. But second, and maybe more importantly, there have been exactly 0 games played so far so this can’t really matter that much can it?
Then, we look ahead to Saturday and Purdue’s game against Northwestern. A winnable game I’d say, but can Purdue take care of the football and walk away with a win?
