Gameweek 12 is here, and many managers are making small changes to keep up with form and fixtures.
In this week’s RMTs edition, I will share my team, explain why I picked each player, and highlight what
I am watching out for this week.
I will also replace key injury players, bring in players in form, and consider their upcoming fixtures.
FPL GW11 Review
Before I dive into my team for Gameweek 12, let’s take a quick look back at how my squad performed in Gameweek 11.
It wasn’t a good week for me, and no doubt for many other managers as well, which caused me to drop points and fall in my overall position.
Luckily, I still managed to stay above average in some of my mini-leagues. Reviewing this will help highlight what worked, what didn’t, and the lessons I can carry into the new week.
Starting with my goalkeeper, Pope, only gave me 3 points after Brentford’s 3-1 loss, having made just 3 saves.
For now, I’ll keep him in my team, but before the deadline, I might consider bringing in my substitute goalkeeper, Dubravka, who will be facing Chelsea.
My defense was very poor in Gameweek 11. From Bournemouth’s Senesi to Gabriel, Van de ven, and Rodon, they delivered almost nothing, with just 2 points coming from Senesi.
I even gave Gabriel my vice-captain, but he didn’t deliver at all. The same story applies to my midfield, which struggled to produce any notable returns.
In my midfield, Mbeumo was the standout performer, giving me the highest points with 7 after a draw against Spurs, including a well-taken goal.
Crystal Palace’s Sarr and Ndiaye only gave me 3 points each, having failed to score in their matches.
Semenyo scored 0 points, which I hadn’t expected, but given he was up against an in-form Aston Villa side that beat Bournemouth 4-0, it wasn’t surprising.
Overall, aside from Mbeumo, my midfield struggled to make an impact.
In my forward line, Woltemade and Haaland gave me some good points, helping to make up for a tough week in other areas of my team.
FPL GW12 Transfer plans
With my two free transfers already used, I’ve also made a couple of tweaks to my bench. Gabriel is currently rated as having a 75 per cent chance of playing, so I’ve taken him out of my starting line-up and brought in Lacroix for now.
I’ve also had to bench Semenyo, who’s likewise on a 75 per cent chance of featuring against West Ham. To play it safe, I’ve brought Reijnders into my starting XI to cover him in the meantime.
My forward line remains Haaland and Woltemade, which means I will have Manchester City against Newcastle up front.
Mateta will also be playing for me as Crystal Palace face Wolves this week. I’ve given Haaland the captain’s armband for Gameweek 12, while Mateta takes the vice-captain role in the meantime.
That’s how my team looks ahead of Gameweek 12. I’m hoping these changes help me climb in my mini leagues and make the most of the fixtures this week and the weeks ahead.
