Manchester United are reportedly “leading the race” to sign 15-year-old wonderkid JJ Gabriel from Manchester United.
The teenager has sent shockwaves around the football world this week by deciding to seek an exit from the Premier League club just a few weeks before his 16th birthday next month.
A new update from The Telegraph says that Barcelona are currently in pole position to land Gabriel and reveals the youngster was at the club in the summer and “was shown around their training ground and met
Wojciech Szczesny and club great Sergio Busquets.”
There has also been talk about Gabriel and Real Madrid, particularly after the youngster was seen following many Real Madrid first-teamers on Instagram. However, the report claims “sources at rival Premier League suitors believe that the Catalan club have stolen a march in the race for Gabriel.”
The 15-year-old is believed to be in a position to move abroad as he possesses an EU passport but Manchester United are believed to be still trying to keep him at the club.
