HUSKER HEAT At 8PM – Join Us After the Game for the Only HUSKER SOFTBALL Podcast
That’s right – Tonight and every Tuesday night at 8PM.
It’s called Husker Heat and we started our 3rd season two weeks ago. With my lovely daughter Mylie as my co-host (of course I’m biased – daughter), we cover the previous weekend, preview the coming games, talk about current storylines and likely find a couple of non-softball topics to chatter about as well. We try to keep it around 45 minutes (try!) while still making sure you’re the best-informed softball fans in Nebraska.
There’s a section for
comments, so please fire away with any thoughts or questions and if we don’t have answers on hand, we’ll try to have them for you by next week’s show. It broadcasts on Facebook Live, Twitter and YouTube Live.
And bonus? Mylie and her fiancé adopted a doggo, so we’ll likely have a guest puppy flopping around on broadcasts! (Say hello to Tatum)

UNO – THINGS TO LOOK FOR:
- Both teams will take this match very seriously. For Nebraska, UNO is quality opponent having made three consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament and is currently ranked #40 in the NCAA RPI and #3 in the On3 Mid-major rankings.
- For UNO, Nebraska is a golden ticket – beat them and they may qualify solidly on their own instead having to win the Summit League Tourney to clinch a spot.
- Because of this, expect ace Maddia Groff in the circle for the Mavericks.
- Nebraska, in addition to the above, will be in no mood to lose to their in-state rival immediately after obtaining a #1 ranking. Since Frahm pitched Sunday, I will say Alexis Jensen gets the start tonight.
- But don’t be surprised to see Frahm come in late for another record-breaking save.
