The North Carolina Tar Heels are just moments away from facing off against Florida State in their first ACC game of the season. The Heels come into this one hot off a one-loss non-conference schedule, while the Seminoles were eaten alive by Power Four competition during that stretch. Will that be the case tonight as well? We will find out soon enough.
This is a game where the competition is supposed to ramp up a bit for UNC, but Florida State honestly shouldn’t pack much of a punch. They definitely
do not have a great answer for dealing with Caleb Wilson and Henri Veesaar in the paint, which that alone is quite a mountain to climb. The great news for Carolina fans is that this team hasn’t been the type to play down to competition, so the bigger question is whether or not they will be off in general. If they stick to their game plan and impose their will on the Seminoles, they should be able to coast to a 1-0 ACC record to kick off conference play.
