Gokhan Saricam engaged in a hard fought war with Tanner Boser at UFC Winnipeg, knocking the tough Canadian out in the second round.
Boser was game for as long as the fight lasted but Saricam simply ate eveything “The Bulldozer” threw at him and returned fire with harder landing punches. The end came via a straight right hand with just 17 seconds left in round two.
“Don’t worry Winnipeg, the guy who’s gonna knock me out is not born yet. It is not Tanner’s fault.”
The fight was Saricam’s UFC debut after
going 11-2 in other promotions, including a 5-2 stint in Bellator a few years back. This is the Turkish fighter’s third stoppage win in a row, although he didn’t manage to put Boser away in the first like in the other two bouts.
As for Boser, he drops to 22-11-1. This was his return to the UFC after being cut in 2023. Two wins in the smaller leagues earned him a spot on this Canadian card, but it remains to be seen if he’ll get another chance with the promotion.
