It apparently runs in the Bahomondes’ family.
In his LFA debut, 18-year-old prospect Alberth Bahomondes followed in his brother Ignacio Bahomondes’ footsteps by delivering a blistering finish over Joey Hart in the first round.
With both fighters willing to stand and bang, Hart threw an overhand right that got Bahomondes’ attention
but it didn’t deter him from continuing to step into the exchanges.
That’s when Bahomondes jumped into a beautifully timed combination capped off by a devastating overhand right that put Hart on the canvas. It only took a few more shots for the referee to see enough to rush in to stop the fight with Bahomondes getting the first round knockout.
Despite his young age, Bahomondes — who has finishes in every single victory — is already 8-1 in his career, and with his third win in a row, he may not be far from joining his brother Ignacio in the UFC.
