The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off a tough road win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. The AFC North race is heating up, and as crazy as it sounds, the Cleveland Browns lead the division, something nobody could have predicted before the season. The entire division is over .500, and three teams are 4-2. Every game is critical, and the Steelers look to continue their winning streak with a win over the New Orleans Saints in Paris, France.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Steelers open
as three-point favorites despite the neutral site. The Saints are coming off a victory of their own after a furious comeback attempt by the New York Giants, and J.J. McCarthy fell just short.
The over/under is 44.5, and Steelers moneyline odds sit at -174. The line will move with injury news from both teams, but this feels right. On the one hand, the Saints offense is a handful, but the defense, aside from Chase Young and a few other players, is vulnerable.
The key will be getting off to a faster start on offense and defense. At the beginning of the Tampa Bay game and for much of the game, the Steelers felt stuck in neutral. The offense and defense kicked it into gear down the stretch and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.
Rookie wide receiver Germie Bernard was fantastic and has quickly earned the trust of Aaron Rodgers. Trust me, that isn’t easy to earn. Rodgers and Bernard looked like Rodgers and Cobb from the Packers days. D.K. Metcalf turned in a big game and made critical plays down the stretch. While the receiver room gets healthy, the two receivers will need to continue making plays.
Jaylen Warren slowed down off his torrid pace, but Rico Dowdle was effective on Sunday. Still, at the end of the game, Warren was the one making big plays in overtime.
It’s the NFL and every game is difficult, but the Steelers need this one and Vegas believes they will get it done.
