As announced on The Pat McAfee Show today, Johnny Knoxville, one of the stars of ‘Jackass,’ will be the guest picker on College Gameday on Saturday at Neyland Stadium. The picks will come inside of the stadium, with the crew moving inside for the final hour of the show.
Knoxville was born and raised in Knoxville, graduating
from South-Doyle High School in 1989. He moved to California shortly after to become an actor, eventually catching on in a few small roles. ‘Jackass’ came in the early 2000’s, and Knoxville landed several bigger roles over the next decade.
He currently hosts ‘Fear Factor.’
Knoxville will now sit alongside of Kirk Herbstreit, Pat McAfee, Nick Saban, Rece Davis and Desmond Howard on the Gameday set and make picks just before kickoff.
Tennessee and Texas have only played three times ever, each coming in Cotton Bowl matchups. They haven’t met since the 1968 season. Despite all of that, the chatter surrounding “the real UT” has kept these fanbases at war, creating a bit of a rivalry feel this weekend.
Tennessee and Texas will kickoff shortly after College Gameday ends, roughly 12:10 p.m. ET or so. ABC will have the coverage. Texas remains a 4.5 point favorite.
