A huge game in Week 11 for the Denver Broncos. Maybe the biggest regular season game since that Week 12 matchup against the New England Patriots in 2015. A win in this game would go a long way towards
taking back the AFC West from these Kansas City Chiefs. With Patrick Mahomes, though, you have to figure it is going to be a dogfight on a good day. Can Denver take them down?

I was tempted to predict a loss here given how the Broncos offense has played in recent weeks, but they are still winning. And they have played these same Chiefs very tough in the Sean Payton era. Give me another close game and let’s find out if Denver’s close-game grit can all but knock these Chiefs out of AFC West contention. – Tim Lynch

I’ve been pretty optimistic choosing the Broncos in most games this year. Unfortunately, this is a game where I have some significant concerns. While Denver may be 8-2, it’s clear their offense and special teams are struggling. Without J.K. Dobbins, will the Broncos be able to have an effective rushing attack against the Chiefs’ defense? Can Bo Nix figure out a way to play consistent against a well-coached Steve Spagnuolo defense? Denver is perfectly capable of winning this game, but they will need to execute in all three phases and forego their penchant for penalties. I have some significant reservations that they will be able to do so. I hope I’m proven wrong. – Chris Hart

The offense missing its biggest contributor? Doesn’t matter. The defense missing the best cornerback in the league and a starting linebacker? The Chiefs being 4-0 this season with this officiating crew? Doesn’t matter. All that matters is that the Broncos have played to the level of their opponent this year, so that means we should see one of their best performances yet. Talanoa Hufunga is going to smack Pat Mahomes, Dre Greenlaw is going to blanket Travis Swift, RJ Harvey is putting up 100 scrimmage yards, and Bo Nix is going to be slinging it. I love being overly optimistic. – Ross Allen

Let’s be real. The Broncos recent wins have been sloppy outings against bad teams, and they eeked out a win with some of the worst football being played on offense and special teams possible. This is the point in the season when teams start showing if they are contenders or pretenders. While the Broncos look far more like the later than the former, I like them at home. The defense is just that good and I’m chomping at the bit to see how many hits and sacks they get on Mahomes. – Sadaraine

This is a game that has me very concerned. The Broncos have struggled with bad teams, and while the defense has been a key to finding ways to win, that kind of streak is hard to maintain. The issues on offense can only be exacerbated by missing JK Dobbins. The Bo Nix issues have also become more relevant in recent weeks. Courtland Sutton has become a non-factor, and the offense is stale and stagnant. Still, the Broncos seem to come alive in moments that matter most. The Chiefs are on the struggle bus too, so this game could be a huge blow to their playoff chances. I like what the defense is doing and I believe in Bo Nix. – Adam Malnati

Yes, I’m a homer. But I “Bolieve.” I also believe in this defense, even with Pat Surtain II still out. I just have a feeling Sean Payton and the Broncos are going to do everything they can to win on Sunday. They know what’s at stake. A Denver win gets them closer to a division title. Plus, Mile High is going to be rocking. It all leads to the biggest victory for the Broncos since Super Bowl 50. – Ian St. Clair
