It’s game day, BBN!
The Kentucky Wildcats are in action tonight for their second exhibition game before starting the regular season next week, as they take on the Georgetown Hoyas.
Kentucky will welcome
the Hoyas, who were selected sixth in the BIG EAST Preseason Coaches’ Poll, to Rupp Arena tonight.
Both teams were victorious in their first exhibition games. Kentucky, of course, defeated the Purdue Boilermakers, while Georgetown picked up a win over George Washington University in their first exhibition game.
It’ll be interesting to see how Mark Pope approaches tonight’s exhibition matchup. What kind of lineup experimentation will we see? How will he handle the rotations?
Tip-off for the game is set for 7 p.m. and you can watch on SEC Network Plus and ESPN+.
We’re also tracking the Christian Collins recruitment today. The 6’8 forward from California is ranked as a top-10 prospect and Kentucky has been involved for a while in his recruitment.
However, it seems like USC has all the momentum in this recruitment. KSR’s Jacob Polacheck reported yesterday Collins is expected to make an announcement in the coming days and said USC is the team to beat.
The California native reportedly wants to stay close to home, according to Polacheck.
It looks like another top 2026 prospect is about to come off the board, as Kentucky looks for its first commitment in the class. I don’t think this is any reason to sound the alarm just yet, especially in the transfer portal era, but hopefully we see the Wildcats land a commitment from a couple of these top prospects soon.
