Al Hilal prepared to pay Kane €100M in salary? (Sports Mole)
Transfer rumors tend to be the theatre of the bizarre and, if true, this is one is truly odd. Sport Bild’s Christin Falk is reporting that Al Hilal wants Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane — and is will
to pay him almost €100 million…per season:
According to a report from German newspaper Bild, Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal have offered Kane an incredible package worth £256.4m for a three-year contract. Journalist Christian Falk confirmed that the English talisman was and is on Al-Hilal’s radar, who are working on presenting such an offer that cannot be refused.
Falk said on his True or Not True podcast: “They have been going after him for some time. They wanted him when Bayern signed him. At that time they tried to steal Kane, but Bayern already had an agreement with the player. I heard that Al Hilal wanted to pay Harry Kane £85.5m per year if he plays there. For a three-year contract. That is not bad,” added Falk.
That money is ridiculous and it remains to be seen if it is actually true. However, if it is true, it would present a dilemma for Kane.
It has been widely assumed that Kane will head back to England either in 2026 or 2027, though some recent statements have fans hoping that Kane will sign a contract extension in Bavaria.
Nearly €100 million per season, though? That could be tough for anyone to turn down.
Ter Stegen has Premier League suitors (ESPN)
Marc-André ter Stegen is out of action with a back injury and might not have a starting role at FC Barcelona when he is expected to return in December. That does not mean that he is not an attractive option to other clubs, though, as Manchester United, Newcastle United, and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in the goalkeeper, who needs playing time to be considered for a big role on the German national team:
Manchester United, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are among the Premier League clubs contemplating a January move for Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen, Diario Sport reports. While the 33-year-old is on track to return to action from injury in November, he’s unlikely to get minutes at Barça thanks to the early-season form of summer signing form Joan García, who is set to return at around the same time as Ter Stegen following knee surgery. That presents a problem for Ter Stegen, who is keen to get minutes under his belt ahead of the World Cup next summer. The Germany international could entertain the idea of a loan switch or permanent move in an effort to play first-team football.

Bayern Munich coasted into this international break with a 3-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt and immediately (and rightfully) hit Oktoberfest before the squad breaks up for a week-and-a-half for another international break.

Musiala says fame hasn’t changed him (GQ via @iMiaSanMia)
Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala says that money and fame have not changed the person that he is.
“I’m absolutely happy with how my life has turned out so far, and I wouldn’t change a thing even if I could. A lot has happened in a short period of time, and there have been many situations from which I’ve learned something. But I’ve always tried to be myself. I was raised in such a way that I always strive to remain calm and humble. Even though a lot has happened in the past few years, I don’t think I’ve changed much as a person,” said Musiala.
Eberl talks front office dynamics at Bayern (Sky Germany’s Kerry Hau via @iMiaSanMia)
Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl recently took some time to speak about the dynamics within the club’s front office.
“I think every club has a sports director, a CEO like Jan-Christian Dreesen and a higher committee that’s ultimately responsible for the club’s interests. At Bayern, that’s the supervisory board, which includes prominent figures. Uli Hoeneß is a great person, a big role model, someone who has left his mark at this club. We’re all trying to continue his legacy in the best possible way,” said Eberl. “It’s normal that we don’t always agree on everything, these differences and discussions ultimately lead to good solutions for the future. I think we’ve achieved a lot during the transfer window, such as reducing the squad size, rejuvenating it, cutting the salary costs and generating income from sales. Now we have the opportunity to sign another player on loan. We’re trying to do what’s possible.”
