An eventful and exciting Sunday of NFL football comes to a close on Sunday night with the Detroit Lions taking on the Carolina Panthers.
The Lions need a win to keep pace with an NFC North that has already tallied three wins in Week 4. The Bears comfortably took down the Jets, the Packers escaped upset by the Buccaneers, and the Vikings held off the Dolphins. None of those teams looked particularly dominant, but style points aren’t a thing in the NFL. With everyone in the division at .500 or higher,
the pressure is on Detroit to keep pace.
The Panthers may be 1-2, but they are no slouches. They currently have a top-five scoring offense, and outside of a Week 1 demolition at the hands of the Bears, their defense has been okay, as well. Carolina comes into Week 4 banged up, though. They placed both starting cornerbacks on injured reserve this week, their best offensive lineman is out, and Bryce Young’s top target (Jalen Coker) is also out.
But anything can happen in the NFL, and the Lions cannot afford to slip up—even in a tough environment on the road in Carolina.
