

Saturday the Nebraska football team will take on Akron in a night game at Memorial Stadium. According to FanDuel the Huskers are favored by 34.5 points with the overs being 47.5.
Last week the Huskers defeated Cincinnati 20-17 at Arrowhead Stadium. Nebraska’s offense was able to string together some good drives and was able to convert all red zone trips to points. However, the rush defense needs to be tightened up, as the Bearcats were able to hang 202 rushing yards on them. They were able to come
away with to takeaways, which ultimately took the game for the Huskers.
Meanwhile, the Zips are coming off a 0-10 loss to Wyoming. They accounted for just 228 yards of total offense and allowed the Wyoming 426 yards in the loss.
This is the third scheduled game for Nebraska and Akron, although the last game in 2018 was cancelled due to thunderstorms. The last actual meetings for the teams was back in 1997 with Nebraska winning 59-14.
The Huskers and the Zips will face off on Saturday, September 6th at 7:35 ET in Lincoln. The game will be aired on Fox.
