NXT’s presence on TNA Impact (July 30, 2026) made for an interesting night. One superstar was eliminated from the TV title tournament, while another superstar will receive a shot at the Knockouts Championship. Busy times were in store for Thea Hail and Wendy Choo.
Starting with the DAD (determined and dedicated) of NXT. Hail won her opening round matchup in the Knockouts Television Championship tournament, so she advanced to meet Indi Hartwell in the quarterfinals live in Philadelphia. Hail showed
spunk, and she controlled the pace by working the left arm of Hartwell. In the end, Hartwell would not be denied victory. She was able to finish Hail with Hurts Donut. Hail is eliminated from the tournament, and Hartwell advances to the semifinals against M by Elegance.
The other piece of NXT business was between Choo and Knockouts champion Xia Brookside. Last week on Impact, Choo dueled Elayna Black to a ten-minute time limit draw in the Knockouts TV title tournament. Both were eliminated from the mix. In the aftermath, Brookside decided to impose her ego to attack Black. Choo stood up for her opponent, so Brookside attacked her too.
Thursday night on Impact, Choo butt in to Brookside’s backstage promo to call her a coward. The former Evolve women’s champion didn’t back down from the bully. Santino Marella arrived to give Choo a shot, and he booked the Knockouts title bout for next week on Impact.
Back over to the Knockouts Television Championship tournament. Also on Impact, Jada Stone kept the underdog train chugging by pinning Jody Threat on a slick roll-up. Stone advances to the semifinals. She awaits the winner of Mara Sade versus Heather by Elegance.
