“Update the picture! Strider shaved his stache!”
That’s what the majority of the comments from fans have been since the Atlanta Braves released today’s roster, after seeing Spencer Strider’s new look in last night’s game against the Cubs.
Besides tonight’s pitcher and his attempt to pick up where he left off—this time with a win— the top three for the lineup have remained the same.
Rookie Drake Baldwin and Ha-Seong Kim are switching spots from
last night’s game. By now, you’ve heard of Sean Murphy being placed on the 10-day IL list due to a right hip labral tear, so you can expect to see more of Drake Baldwin throughout the remainder of the regular season.
As you saw from the title, Ronald Acuña Jr. will now be the designated hitter, placing right-fielder Jake Fraley in his spot for his ninth appearance with the team.
Now the question is, where’s Ozuna, and why did Acuña drop to the seventh hole in his new position?
A lot of questions to answer in what Braves’ fans hope will be an extension of yesterday.
Tune in at 7:15 EDT for the first pitch to see what this changeup will hold.
