Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was inconsolable after the game when his team lost to the Denver Broncos. Allen takes the podium after every game, but this is the first time I remember him crying.
Allen missed plays, for sure. He turned the ball over. Absolutely. He missed passes. Seeing him at the podium was brutal.
Another angle.
Allen’s fumble before halftime cost the Bills three points. After halftime, Allen fumbled again but I wouldn’t put that one on him. Still, it cost the team points. He threw an interception when the Bills were driving. He missed a tight end near the goal line at the end of regulation. The final turnover from Allen was a Brandin Cooks catch ruled a pick. All of those plays could have made the difference. I understand where he is coming from.
The Bills QB set an NFL record last week, going six consecutive playoff games without a turnover. It makes this final game of the 2025 season hurt even more.
Allen is going to feel this for a long time, but the reason the Bills were in this game was because of Allen, too. Allen threw for 283 yards and three touchdowns, adding 66 on the ground.
After hearing what Allen said following the game, left tackle Dion Dawkins broke down in the Buffalo locker room. This one hurts for everyone.
