Mizzou Basketball’s depth will be tested as the regular season comes down the stretch. In what was expected news, sophomore Annor Boateng has been officially ruled out the rest of the season after sustaining a leg injury in Saturday’s win vs Mississippi State. He underwent successful surgery on Monday — the team announced. More discussion on RockM+
.Prayers up to Boateng for a speedy recovery, and now Mizzou will have to look for more depth options as they try to sneak in the NCAA Tournament. Up next is Saturday at South Carolina.
On the women’s side, Grace Slaughter has been named to the Cheryl Miller Award Mid-Season Watch List.
After back-to-back wins, Mizzou is looking to play their way into a postseason bid under first-year head coach Kellie Harper. The Tigers play at Arkansas later tonight.
And news from Mizzou Athletics — a $3 million gift from Paul and Lynn Ann Vogel toward the Competitive Excellence Fund.

Mizzou Athletics and MU Health Care have launched a groundbreaking partnership aimed at elevating the medical support provided to student-athletes. With the addition, they’ve added on a new role which MU announced on Tuesday.

On paper, Mizzou added plenty of talent. In fact, if you balance the high school recruiting ratings of the incoming players with the ratings of the outgoing players, Drinkwitz and company actually saw a net improvement in talent.
Here’s hoping the talent plays out in hopes for a better team next season.
With the distance squad coming off of a strong performance last weekend, the Missouri Invitational sets up as another opportunity for that group to continue building momentum. Expectations are high for the middle- and long-distance runners to compete for podium finishes and new personal bests in the mile and 3000m races on Friday.
