According to Dalton Risner, Zac Taylor wrote “6-11” on the team meeting board ahead of the first day of camp.
Taylor is looking to remind his team of the record they finished with last season. That record had them missing the playoffs for a third straight season. He wants a pissed-off group of players heading into the 2026 season.
The message might have been received a little bit too well, as things got overly physical during the first day of camp. At one point, Ja’Marr Chase ripped off the helmet
of DJ Turner and tossed it in the air. There was pushing and shoving, with Jalen Davis even starting to square up on Chase toward the end of the argument.
Coach Taylor will need to find a balance between getting an angry group of players and now having them beat up on each other during training camp. Mike Gesicki was upset a bit later in practice, as Jalen Davis jumped on his back.
