Sevilla boss Luis García Plaza agrees with Cesc Fabregas and says that Barcelona are in “scary” form ahead of Saturday’s clash at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan.
Barcelona have made a perfect start to the season and have scored an astonishing 28 goals in six La Liga games.
Fabregas has said that Barca are playing at a “frightening level” this season and the Sevilla boss has agreed as he looks forward to this weekend’s match-up.
“As Cesc Fàbregas said, they’re frightening. They’re scoring four or five goals
per game. We’re going to try to compete,” he told a pre-match press conference.
“I also say that if they come here and we’re not able to compete with them, we’ll have to question the level of the competition when a team is winning everything and with such high-scoring victories, even against teams that are doing well.”
The Sevilla boss also compared Hansi Flick’s team to Pep Guardiola’s previous Barcelona sides.
“Everyone tries to limit their opponent as much as possible. The fewer chances they create, the higher you are on the scoreboard. Up until now, we’ve been playing very well, apart from that match against Atlético,” he added.
“The thing is, tomorrow we have an opponent… I’ve faced Guardiola’s Barça, and with that team you barely touched the ball, but this one creates a lot of scoring opportunities.”
Sevilla have taken 13 points from their first six games and head into the game after a 1-0 midweek win over Deportivo.
