The news that Jamal Musiala was suffering neurological absences shocked the whole footballing world. Apparently, he had been dealing with the symptoms since the last season and throughout the World Cup and nobody noticed. Ergo, Bayern officials have addressed the situation by showing how confident they were things would turn out fine.
But Uli Hoeneß has been an exception. Bayern’s honorary president has admitted his fear and worry about Musiala’s situation at multiple instances, stating that he goes
to sleep and wakes up fretting about the 23-year-old. He was asked about Musiala’s situation again at the 2026 Sport Bild awards, where he and Harry Kane were set to receive awards. Hoeneß had this to say (as captured by @iMiaSanMia):
“He knows, and he needs to know, that we are doing everything we can to help him. What we and he are going through right now is incredible. I really hope that, in the end, everything works out well.”
That is a hope every Bayern fan shares.
