Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Each week we ask questions of the most plugged-in Seattle Seahawks fans and fans across the country.

The Seattle Seahawks have been (relatively) down bad recently. They already have three losses, equaling the total from 2026. The road doesn’t get any easier with the Kansas City Chiefs and former Seahawks legend Kenneth Walker III returning to Lumen Field for a prime time matchup. Will Seattle be able to keep Walker under 100 yards, continuing

their own defensive streak of holding rushers under that mark? That was the focus of this week’s poll.

It wasn’t a total wipeout, but 61% of Seahawks fans think that Seattle will be able to contain last year’s Super Bowl MVP. Walker has been the workhorse for the Chiefs, leading the NFL in rushing. Seattle, meanwhile, has seen their running game stuck in neutral for the most part with Jadarian Price on IR and Zach Charbonnet still recovering from last year’s knee injury. Seattle hasn’t allowed a 100-yard rusher in nearly two calendar years – a streak which spans 35 games including playoffs. Something has to give on Sunday Night Football.

Meanwhile on the fan confidence front, less than half of respondents believe the team is headed in the right direction.

That’s a pretty damning statistic for the defending Super Bowl champions. However, I get it. The Seahawks haven’t played close to their potential, giving the ball away like it’s going out of style. Their defense has held up its end of the bargain, but the offense has been inconsistent to say the least.

The upcoming matchup with the undefeated Chiefs could be the turning point for the 2026 season. Win this one to get back on track, and the Seahawks could be set up for a big run.

And if they lose a third game in a row? Let’s just say the generally gloomy Seattle autumn will seem like rainbows and sunshine in comparison.
