How are you feeling going into Game Three?
We have Max Scherzer going tonight (his fourth World Series start, a 3.26 ERA in 19.1 innings). Tyler Glasnow is starting for the Dodgers. Glasnow was 4-3 with
a 3.19 ERA in 18 starts this season. And Bo Bichette is going to be in the lineup tonight. John said he would be about to go 9 innings, but that likely depends on the game situation. If they feel the need for a pinch-runner or a defensive replacement, I’m sure they will do that.
Beyond that, the story people are talking about his the Dodgers manager, Dave Roberts, complaining about crossing the border. Yes, crossing borders is less fun than, say, playing a baseball game, but millions of people do it each day.
I would point out that any trouble they would have had crossing the border would have been from the US customs people.
I like this, but what are they going to say?
This is cute:
Keegan Matheson tells us that George Springer hit four home runs at Dodger Stadium in the 2017 World Series and one more in Houston. I think he should hit five in Dodgers Stadium this time. Baseball must be a weird world, because Springer is an ‘old guy’ at 36.
Springer had 23 home runs in 80 playoff games and 7 home runs in 16 World Series games. And four or five this week would be ok.
