New Level and Swerve Strickland put the AEW world trios championship on the line against Hangman Page, Bandido, and Brody King at tonight’s (Sept. 26) All Out pay-per-view in Chicago.
Even though the former New Day members Kofi and Creed are the hot new thing in AEW, it’s the never-ending drama between Hangman and Swerve that the live fans couldn’t get enough of.
This wild brawl between Swerve and Hangman
was a recurring sequence during the bout, in between a frenzy of spectacular high spots from everyone else, and the fans were loving it.
Bandido then stole the show by launching all three of his opponents at the same time.
At this point, this match was already the best thing on the All Out pay-per-view. Yet Brody King wasn’t ready for it to end, even after all three champions tried to pin him at the same time. Swerve wanted to go for the killing blow, but Hangman intercepted. Page took out Kofi with the Buckshot Lariat and tried to do the same to Swerve, but Creed pushed his partner out of the way and sacrificed himself in the process.
Strickland knocked Hangman out of the ring with the House Call, so it came down to Bandido and Swerve for the finish. Strickland then countered the 21-plex and hit Big Pressure for the pin. He and New Level are still the AEW world trios champions.
This match was awesome, and it’s pretty cool that New Level is already out here having the best match on AEW PPV.
