Barcelona have confirmed that young goalkeeper Diego Kochen has sealed a move away from the club and will join Danish side Lyngby Boldklub.
The stopper leaves on a season-long loan but Barcelona have confirmed the transfer does include a buy option in the deal. Reports in Denmark say the purchase option is set at 1.5 million euros.
Here’s the club’s official statement:
“FC Barcelona and Lyngby Boldklub have reached an agreement for the loan of Barça Atlètic goalkeeper Diego Kochen to the Danish club
for one season, until 30 June 2027, with an option to buy.”
Kochen is moving on in a bid for regular senior minutes and could make his debut for his new club on Saturday in a training match against B.93 at Vedbæk Stadium.
The 20-year-old has been at Barcelona since 2019 but has still not made his first-team debut and will hope he can make an impact at Lyngby Boldklub.
Good luck, Diego!
