Jürgen Klopp’s Germany gets back to work against Greece, and there are plenty of intriguing players to watch after the 1-1 draw with the Netherlands. Alexander Nübel is an interesting one, as the goalkeeper has another opportunity to show what he can offer at international level and potentially push for a bigger role. Philipp Treu is another player to keep an eye on after making his Germany debut. The Freiburg defender looked comfortable in his first appearance and will be hoping to build on that
experience.
Karim Adeyemi and Kevin Schade both provide Germany with plenty of pace and directness in attack. Adeyemi has the ability to stretch defenses with his speed, while Schade offers a similar threat and could be particularly dangerous when Germany transitions quickly. Both could use a second chance after not playing well vs. the Netherlands.
Joshua Kimmich, meanwhile, remains one of the team’s most important leaders and will be expected to provide control and experience in midfield. Felix Nmecha will also be worth watching after scoring Germany’s goal against the Netherlands. Can he build on that performance against Greece? Jonathan Burkardt is another intriguing option, particularly as Germany continues to develop its options at striker. Younes Ebnoutalib is perhaps one of the biggest unknowns after making his Germany debut against the Netherlands, giving him another chance to make an impression.
Then there are established attacking talents like Florian Wirtz and Chris Führich. Wirtz brings creativity and the ability to unlock a defense, while Führich provides another option out wide with his dribbling and one-on-one ability.
