The Seattle Seahawks are expanding their cornerback depth, bringing back Tyler Hall to their practice squad before a massive Week 11 showdown with the Los Angeles Rams.
Hall was one of two players the Seahawks
brought in for a workout earlier this week, and brought him on after placing wide receiver Tyrone Broden Jr on the practice squad injured reserve list. The veteran corner spent the preseason with Seattle, where he totaled seven tackles after appearing in all three games.
Hall’s return marks his third stint as a member of the Seahawks’ practice squad, with the previous two being quick stays in which he did not see regular-season action.
Coming out of Wyoming, Hall signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent, where he played in nine games during the 2020 season. It wasn’t until two years later that Hall found a home as a rotational corner for the Las Vegas Raiders, where he would see prolonged playing time.
In 18 games across two seasons, Hall racked up 40 tackles and four passes defensed for the silver and black. Hall’s only sack of his career came against the Denver Broncos in 2022, where he dropped former Seahawks star quarterback Russell Wilson for an 11-yard loss on a critical third down in the fourth quarter.
With Broden on the injured list, the Seahawks have two healthy wide receivers left on the practice squad: Ricky White III and Courtney Jackson. Those two could prove crucial with rookie wideout Tory Horton potentially facing a stint on the injured reserve.
