Because of some nagging injuries the inactive list looked very different this week: Sam Ehlinger, Tyler Badie, Jonah Elliss, Frank Crum, Jordan Jackson, and Sai’vion Jones
The entire offensive line played
the whole game, but this was the first game without Ben Powers. Matt Peart played poorly in his first start at guard for the Broncos. I was expecting Alex Palcweski to get the start, but apparently Sean Payton wanted to keep him available as the 6th offensive lineman. AP played 9 snaps.
At running back Jaleel McLaughlin got his first game action with Tyler Badie inactive. Jaleel got 6. JK Dobbins played 30 snaps and RJ Harvey played 17 snaps. Adam Prentice played 11 snaps at FB, which was a season high.
At TE, Evan Engram, Adam Trautman and Nate Adkins played 28, 23 and 23 snaps. This was the first time Engram has played the most TE snaps this season. He made the most of his snaps with five catches on six targets and four first downs.
Courtland Sutton, Pat Bryant, Troy Franklin, Marvin Mims and Trent Sherfield played 48, 35, 35, 21 and 17 snaps.
On defense we had four guys play every snap: Pat Surtain, Riley Moss, Brandon Jones, and Alex Singleton. Talanoa Hufanga played 51 of 57 as the other safety. PJ Locke got six snaps in relief of Hufanga.
Justin Strnad got 46 at the other ILB spot.
Zach Allen, JFM, DJ Jones, Malcolm Roach and Eyioma Uwazurike played 40, 30, 28, 25, and 16 snaps on the DL.
Our slot corner, Ja’Quan McMillian played 32 snaps. Jahdae Barron played 11.
With Elliss ailing Que Robinson got his first NFL regular season action, he played 19 snaps. He got two tackles (1 solo). Cooper, Bonitto and Tillman played 38, 42 and 15 snaps. Tillman had a horrible missed tackle that led to the 72-yd KOR. All he needed to do was wrap the guy up.
Devon Key played 90% of the special team snaps, but Locke, Reid and Skinner all played more than 3/4 of the ST snaps.
