With the 256th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos took another tight end to their room. They selected Utah prospect Dallen Bentley marking the second draft in the row where the team has used a selection (Caleb Lohner in 2025) at tight end from the Utes program.
Bentley started off his collegiate career at Snow College (junior college) before transferring to Utah in 2023. He was a reserve player in both seasons and only had three total catches, but his production exploded in 2025 where
he posted 48 catches for 620 yards and six touchdowns. He had an impressive NFL Combine performance and graded out as one the draft’s most athletic tight ends. However, he still has a lot of work to do as a blocker and is purely a developmental prospect with receiving upside at this point in time.
Dallen Bentley Highlights and Film
Bentley was one of the tight end prospects Scotty Payne had talked as a great fit for the Broncos. With Joly and Bentley in the fold, Denver is clearly trying to establish a vision for the future at the position. Iron sharpens iron and it will be interesting to see which of the two performs better in camp. Welcome to the Mile High City, Dallen Bentley!
