The Rundown
Those crazy sonsofbitches did it! They actually did it!
Indiana played like a team that wanted to win, and the aggressiveness paid off. They held Ohio State to its fewest points all season, harassing Julian Sayin all night. The win basically locks the No. 1 seed for the Hoosiers.
This has to be a fever dream for Indiana fans, who couldn’t have possibly imagined this being their reality two years go, when they let go of what’s-his-name and hired Curt Cignetti.
BuffKomodo: Big Ten Champions. Indiana Football. What upside down world are we living in?!?!? Indiana simultaneously
snaps the 30+ year losing streak to Ohio State and the drought of B1G championships since the 60’s. Likely, they will achieve the number 1 ranking in all polls for the first time in program history. I cried. Such a far cry from the Randel El days to now. Go Hoosiers. I love you all.
If I told you in 2016 that in 2025 Indiana football would be in a better position to win a national title than Indiana basketball you’d laugh at me.
Yet. Here we are.
First postseason win since 1993.
Go Hoosiers.
BuffKomodo, again: I do not fucking care what happens after this.
Indiana won the B1G. Couldn’t kick us out of the title game this time
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
INDIANA WINS THE ROSE BOWL? GRAVY BABY. BRING US ALABAMA. LETS BEAT THOSE -3 RUSHING YARDS.
To the Buckeyes, genuinely I love and respect ya’ll. See you back in the finals.
YOUR B1G CHAMPS THE INDIANA HOOSIERS
thumpasaurus: Postscript: LOL THE ACC CHAMP LOST TO FUCKING ILLINOIS
We’re not like the rest of you. There is ALWAYS shame in losing to Fighting Illini Football.
LMAO
please don’t make us play defense in a bowl
WhiteSpeedReceiver: My father-in-lawish person is still steaming. He sent a text to his sons and I a little bit ago in all caps complaining about how “good coaching and a checkbook beat bad coaching and a bigger checkbook” and started his “Why didn’t they have Day ‘retire’ after he won the title last year?”
LincolnParkWildcat: What an amazing rock fight. Holy shit. I never thought I’d see this in my lifetime.
BuffKomodo, now sober: Same
Larry31: Those were two elite defenses. Really good game. I’d expect both teams to make it to the semifinals. Indiana is one of the best coached college teams I’ve ever seen.
Welcome to the age of transfers and NIL. Cignetti has built a legitimate title contender in two years. I imagine this convinces Nittany Nation even more that it was time to move on from Franklin.
LincolnParkWildcat: This turnaround is akin to what Gary Barnett did in Evanston in the 90s, in a way, but exceeded.
MaximumSam: OSU tried to play blocking free and it didn’t go well
