On the world’s beggest stage for women’s lacrosse, multiple Maryland women’s lacrosse alumni stole the spotlight. With the United States taking home the crown, multiple former Terps showcased their talents to a global audience.
The United States and Canadian national teams faced off in Saturday’s final, featuring
a plethora of Maryland standouts. Kori Edmondson served as the lone player on the American side, with Acacia Walker-Weinstein coaching the star-studded squad to victory. Edmondson logged limited offensive minutes in the tournament, scoring a single goal in a win over Puerto Rico.
On the losing side, however, a pair of Maryland legends made a huge splash. Sharpshooter Aurora Cordingly and Erica Evans each were named to the All-World team after the conclusion of the tournament, scoring a combined 26 goals between the two.
The best performance of the tournament came at the hands of an unexpected hero in Jordyn Lipkin. The 2026 graduate carried the Israeli national team to its first-ever bronze medal finish while leading all players with 19 goals across the tournament. She too, earned All-World honors.
