Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane is worth his weight in diamonds for the club.
Diamonds, because he’s LITERALLY worth more than his weight in gold. According to official Bundesliga figures, Kane weighs in around 86 kg. 86 kg of gold, based on Google’s AI estimate, is around €10.46 million EUR based on recent market spot prices. Kane was signed for around 10 times that.
So yeah, we’re talking high-quality diamonds, not the low-grade industry level.
Bayern supervisory board member Uli Hoeneß is among Kane’s
biggest fans and believes his transfer has paid off big time. In a recent interview with Sport Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Uli admitted that “we spent an extraordinary amount of money by our standards.” He then added, “It has paid off wonderfully.”
He then went on to give his verdict on Kane’s Ballon d’Or chances: “I think you have to take into account the overall performance throughout the year. And then he more than deserves it.”
Damn right he does.
European Golden Boot, the domestic double (Bundesliga, DFB Pokal), key to England’s 3rd place finish in the World Cup, and scoring in every major game in the Champions League, only narrowly missing out on a finals appearance. Now that is Ballon d’Or calibre.
Kane is the world’s most complete footballer, and nobody deserves the award over him.
